Background:

I’m a learning and development professional with more than 20 years of experience in education, training, leadership, and insurance. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on helping people understand complex information, develop new skills, and confidently apply what they’ve learned.

In my current role, I design and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and digital learning experiences, develop instructional materials and assessments, support learning technologies, and provide training and coaching to colleagues. As a department team lead, I also coordinate initiatives and collaborate with faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders to support successful implementation and continuous improvement.

My experience also includes several years in the insurance industry, where I worked as a catastrophe claims adjuster and an area sales manager/licensed insurance agent. In those roles, I trained and coached adjusters and agents on software, business processes, product knowledge, and customer communication.

I hold a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Bachelor of Arts in History, and completed an Educational Leadership and Principal Certification program at Lamar University. I’ve also developed experience with tools including Articulate Rise 360, Storyline 360, Vyond, Canva, Canvas, Schoology, and Microsoft 365.

Today, I’m focused on applying that combination of instructional design, facilitation, technology, leadership, and real-world business experience to create practical, engaging learning solutions that help people perform at their best.
